Last new year’s eve, as the clock struck midnight, we just about made it overground out of the tube station beside the Ritz, then a sprint to the Embankment to catch the very end of the fireworks at the London Eye. Snippet of a very funny night. London again this year. On the provisional agenda: inebriated ice skating at the natural history museum followed by merriment in Trafalgar Square. Happy 2012 to all.
I think I would have been far more motivated last year if I had such a ~face~ to picture when reading the book
Definitely agree! I read it when I was at school a few years ago and I think I’d have spent less time staring into space in class if I could have imagined his face! (Moral of the story: schools should adopt ways of incorporating male models into the curriculum if they want better results)
Frozen planet highlights. Followed by Top Gear roadtrip in India (hilarious). Followed by Great Expectations. Pip seriously exceeded my expectations in the appearance category. Never thought I’d be saying this about anything Dickens related but…bom chicka wah wah. (I never even say that in real life). Good work BBC, revision still hasn’t begun!!!
